I have worked in Information Technology for almost 40 years.  I’ve worked for large corporations on a global scale.  In mid-2017 I brought my career to an end.  I was, and remain, excited about the prospects of retirement while not yet fully understanding what they might be.

I’m male and have been married to a lovely wife for over thirty years.  We have three sons born in the late eighties and early nineties.

Although I have lived for most of the last 20 years in London during the working week, our family home is in Gloucestershire.  I gave up my flat in London so one of our sons could rent it and now live in Gloucestershire more permanently.

My primary interests are music, cinema, sport (especially football) and gardening.  I suspect that the balance is going to need to shift from gigging to gardening, but we will see….
